Digipak Inspiration

For my Digipak I wanted to go as simplistic and minimalistic as I could while still complying with the rule of thirds. Below are some of my favourite CD covers that I plan to use as my inspiration. Although not all are using the rule of thirds they are still simple yet effective. 

Appointing Dancers

As our video has a narrative element we need two dancers. As our college has its own dance company I thought it would solve a lot of problems if I just went straight to the head of dance and sorted it that way. After conferring with Faye (head of dance) I decided to create a poster to advertise both positions.

Through further contact with Faye I have managed to appoint two dancers which I will post about within the next few days.  As our male dancer Michael is working with another group we will need to sort it out with both them and Michael to make sure we double book. 

Michel Gondry

The below music videos are all brilliant examples of Michel Gondry's work. He is well known for his odd and abstract ideas. I decided to research videos/directors that are different. He has worked with the likes of Daft Punk, Kylie Minogue and The Chemical Brothers. 

During the bridge of our song I thought it would be a good idea to incorporate some of Michel's former creations as they will fit in with the electronic sound and feel of the bridge.
